They were incredible a year ago and can’t wait to have them in an intimate cafe setting…

Imagine a crisp November winter evening, in front of the Beantrees fireplace, sipping a glass of wine 🥂 or your favorite Latte listening to “Winnie Brave”… I sure can and its going to be magic!! We are reinventing the music experience at Beantrees Cafe and you can be a part of it…

Winnie Brave is a foot stompin’ Americana/Roots duo comprised of Amy McIsaac (vocals/guitar) and “one-man-band” Brad McIsaac (bass/foot drums/keys). Established in 2012, this husband-and-wife team hail from Holden, Alberta. With two albums under their belts and thousands of shows played throughout Canada and the USA, this highly-entertaining and energetic duo are a sonic force to be reckoned with.

From the beginning…
As the fall of 2012 approached, inspiration for change struck and a decision was made to bet the farm and take a chance on a life less ordinary. The house was sold, jobs were left behind and an old towable trailer became the new way of life. Packing up only the essentials – the dogs, guitars, amplifiers and favourite coffee mugs, Amy and Brad hit the road and travelled over 7000kms in three months.

After returning to Ontario in the late spring of 2013, the duo took to the studio and in a weekend recorded their self-titled debut album. Featuring a collection of songs inspired by their recent journey, it would become the foundation for a new direction.

In 2016 they travelled over 20,000 road miles for 9-months in their 1976 Winnebago (from which they took their name); touring their self-titled debut album throughout Canada and the USA.

During the winter of 2017, the duo hunkered down in an old church-turned-recording studio in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada and recorded their sophomore album, Cheap Gin. Upon the release, the duo took to the road once again and toured extensively throughout Canada and the USA.

We will also be practicing the new Music Tree Sessions format that Winnie Brave has been gracious enough to participate in. At 6pm we will record a 15 min professional music video in the library with the artist that will have limited entry so arrive early for that! We will also be fine tuning the vinyl record format that will be played thru out the evening. A watch for our YouTube channel Music Tree Sessions and some sneak peeks this fall!

It is going to be another incredible night of entertainment at Beantrees Cafe!!

Beantrees Cafe will be open all evening for meal and drink service. Beantrees Cafe Doors will open at 5:30pm with Show starting at 7:30pm.  Beantrees Cafe will be open till show end for meal and drink service!
