Find yourself in Alberta with nothing to do?

You’ll find more than 200 species of bird in Cold Lake and most of them nest here at the Provincial Park. You’ll find sedge wren, wood warblers, and the largest nesting colonies of western grebe.
You can also go cross-country skiing or boating in the marina. Those who go on a bigger boat can fish for perch, pike, and walleye. You can also swim close to Medley River.
If you want to stay on solid ground, there are over 9 kilometres of hiking trails that start from the Provincial Park. It’s also good for mountain biking, which makes it great for people into triathlons.
For the musically-inclined, Kat Danser and the Tall Tales will entertain you with sounds of roots and blues. Fans of the singer will recognize her work from the 2015 album “Baptized By the Mind” and her newest work in “Goin’ Gone.”
Her performance here at The Grande Parlour Stage marks her return to the road. This summer she will tour the country for the first time after a three-year hiatus. For fans and newcomers alike, this is the kind of quality musical entertainment you won’t find every day.
Lastly, the province of Alberta will have you falling off your seats as its unique brand of humour keeps you amused. The comedic music by Kevin McGrath will have you laughing as he makes his iconic impressions of The Beach Boys, The Bee Gees, Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder and other well-known musicians.
